Project Description

Simple database-driven iPhone App to show different text resultsets based on buttons pressed on UI 'image'.

DB schema will be provided. Approx 7 tables, mostly read-only. Largest table has 5000 rows, next has 2000 rows, others are <50 rows.

Two tables are read/write for User preferences.

User preferences set in UI by check boxes, sliders and drop-down lists. User preferences are persisted in the db. Includes ability to control locale/language used in UI.

Approx 4 parameterized pretty basic stored-procedures to obtain different resultsets. Parameters determined by User preferences and ‘button’ presses. Stored proc needs to handle variable number of input parameters when executed. I have the db and stored procs in MS SQL Server already, that will need to be implemented in iPhone-friendly db, (presumed SQLLite, but open to suggestions).

Semi-Graphical UI, e.g a full-screen landscape-oriented image with several ‘buttons’.

Users press ‘buttons’ on UI to execute stored procedures against the db.

Small resultsets e.g 5 lines of 3 words per line ‘appear’ over the relevant button.

Globalized application, to support English, Spanish and Hindi.

1) Complete XCode project, all files required for me to compile a fully functional application.

2) Commented code

3) One-page overview document that lists all project files and brief summary of what each does.

I will be happy to act as a future reference upon successful completion of project.

Optional, nice to have features, (let me know how much extra effort will be required):

Secure Encrypted db

Buttons are ‘animated’ to appear ‘clicked’

Clicking buttons makes a sound, configurable.

Background image / button images configurable

Globalized for right-to-left languages e.g. Arabic

Ability to display ads from 3rd party ad service

Not in scope:

Artwork : test images will be provided
