The classified ads site we are working with is considered an "industry authority" currently ranking #1 on the majority of its industry's most competitive keywords for most of the past 10 years. Now we are determining what needs to be done to introduce a Spanish version for Central America, Mexico, and South America.
This project is only about building a detailed strategic and tactical PLAN to make it happen.
The site is developed in old-fashioned .ASP. Prior technical knowledge related to how USA sites can be introduced in a second language is essential, although this Odesk project is not involve writing ASP code. This project is about providing accurate answers regarding what needs to be done to make a high ranking English/American site translate into Spanish and rank high in Latin American search engines.
DO NOT BID UNLESS you...
* Have verifiable experience in making multilingual sites rank well Google for both English AND Spanish.
* Are familiar enough with .ASP to make informed decisions about how to proceed from a technical or site structural aspect without any risk of jeopardizing our current rankings.
For the bidder's information, the current site seems to rank well because it is an industry authority. No deliberate link building has ever been done.
For this project I am estimating that some link building for the Spanish version may be necessary for a few months.
Remember: this project is only about defining the SEO plan for a translated version of site, not about implementing an SEO campaign.
