An iOS app I own is live in the Apple App Store, yet the entire original project is missing—no repository access, no local backups, nothing at all. What I still hold is the production build that Apple distributes, plus my own App Store Connect credentials. The goal is to retrieve the app’s source code, or at least rebuild a functionally identical Xcode project that I can maintain going forward. Only the source code matters; all assets and configuration files are already in my possession through the binary and App Store metadata. Because there is zero existing codebase to pull from, the work will most likely involve decompiling and reverse-engineering the published binary. Familiarity with tools such as Hopper, Ghidra, IDA, or similar Objective-C/Swift decompilers will be essential, along with solid understanding of iOS frameworks, provisioning profiles, and Xcode project structure. Deliverables • A compilable Xcode project that reproduces the current App Store build’s functionality. • Clear build instructions so I can archive, sign, and upload future releases myself. • A brief technical report outlining the reverse-engineering approach, any third-party libraries identified, and areas where source parity could not be reached (if any). Acceptance criteria • The rebuilt app installs on a test device and matches the live version’s features and UI flow. • Apple’s App Store Connect validation passes with no new warnings beyond those in the existing binary. Feel free to suggest the most efficient path—whether straight binary decompilation, partial rewriting after interface extraction, or another method you’ve proven effective. Confidentiality and adherence to Apple’s policies are, of course, non-negotiable.

The production IPA is the key starting point: I’ll inspect its Mach-O structure, embedded frameworks, Objective-C runtime data, Swift metadata, assets, and App Store configuration before deciding which components can be reconstructed directly and which require a clean rewrite. Using Hopper or Ghidra alongside Xcode, I’ll rebuild the screens, navigation, data flow, and API interactions into a compilable project, then configure signing and archive settings against your App Store Connect account. Within 7 days, I’ll deliver the Xcode project, build/archive instructions, and a technical report documenting identified libraries and any unavoidable parity gaps. I’ve also delivered SwiftKhata, a native web/desktop/mobile POS product whose iOS build was approved through the App Store review process. Is the production IPA available for download/export, or can it only be installed from the App Store? Muhammad Saad

Hi, I want to be upfront: I'm a strong iOS/Swift/SwiftUI developer with 9+ years shipping production apps, but binary decompilation (Hopper/Ghidra/IDA-level reverse engineering) isn't part of my hands-on toolkit, so I won't overstate that piece. Where I can genuinely help: reconstructing a functionally identical Xcode project through careful behavioral analysis - installing and thoroughly testing the live binary, mapping every screen, flow, network call and UI interaction, then rebuilding it natively in clean Swift/SwiftUI/UIKit matching the current App Store version feature-for-feature. This often gets closer to a maintainable, future-proof codebase than a raw decompile would, since decompiled Objective-C/Swift is frequently unreadable and hard to maintain long-term anyway. If true binary-level extraction (e.g. recovering exact original logic or proprietary algorithms) is essential, I'd recommend pairing with a reverse-engineering specialist for that specific piece, while I handle the Xcode project rebuild, UI/UX parity, App Store Connect setup and future release process. Deliverables I can commit to: a compilable, signed-ready Xcode project matching current functionality, clear build/archive/upload instructions, and a report on my reconstruction approach and any parity gaps. Happy to start with a walkthrough of the live app to scope effort accurately before quoting. Best, Kalyan

Hi there, I can approach this as a controlled recovery and rebuild of the published iOS application, with the goal of producing a maintainable Xcode project rather than simply extracting fragments from the binary. I’m comfortable working with Swift/Objective-C, Xcode, iOS frameworks and binary analysis to identify application structure, UI flows, resources, dependencies and behaviour. I’d first analyse the supplied production build and App Store metadata, determine what can be recovered reliably, and map the live app’s screens and functionality. From there I’d combine binary/interface analysis with targeted rewriting where direct source recovery is not practical, preserving the existing user flow and behaviour. I’ll also identify third-party frameworks, document parity gaps, configure the Xcode project, and provide reproducible build/signing instructions. The work will stay focused on your stated acceptance criteria, with testing against the live version and App Store validation before handover. I’ll respect your ownership and Apple’s applicable policies throughout. Looking forward to work with you. Thanks

Hi, Fernando here from Mexico. I want to rebuild the published iOS app into a maintainable Xcode project, using the production build as the reference. I’ll focus on Objective C and Swift binary analysis with Hopper or Ghidra, then reconstruct the required Xcode project structure while preserving the current UI flow and iOS framework behavior. I’ll also document identified libraries and any areas where exact source parity is impossible. For the reconstruction, should the priority be UI and user flow parity or internal implementation parity, as this determines where reverse engineering effort should be concentrated? For signing, should the rebuilt project target the existing App Store distribution setup or a new signing configuration, as this affects the Xcode project and archive validation setup? I’ll first analyze the binary and extract its framework, architecture and interface structure, then provide a small reconstruction sample for review. Bests

Hi, I can rebuild your app from the published binary since you own the app and hold App Store Connect credentials, that ownership context matters here. With 9+ years of experience and 400+ completed projects, I've handled binary recovery work before where reconstructing a compilable, maintainable project from a live App Store build was the only path forward. I'll extract and analyze the binary using tools like Hopper or Ghidra to map out the UI flow, class structures, and third-party frameworks in use, then reconstruct a functional Xcode project matching the current app's behavior and interface. Where full source parity isn't achievable from decompilation alone, I'll rebuild those specific pieces by re-implementing the observed functionality directly, and I'll document the entire approach, libraries identified, and any gaps in a technical report alongside build instructions for future releases. Can you confirm this is your own published app under your Apple Developer account, and do you know roughly what percentage is Swift versus Objective-C from when it was originally built? Let's connect so I can review the binary and outline next steps.

Hi, I can review the production iOS binary and reconstruct a maintainable Xcode project by reverse-engineering the app’s behavior, frameworks, networking, data flow, and UI structure using tools such as Hopper, Ghidra, or IDA alongside Xcode. Because a compiled App Store binary cannot reliably restore the exact original Swift/Objective-C source, variable names, comments, and project history, the practical goal will be a clean, functionally equivalent codebase that reproduces the current app and can be maintained going forward. The process will be binary/framework analysis feature and API mapping UI/flow reconstruction Swift/Objective-C implementation configuration/provisioning setup functional comparison against the live app documented Xcode project handoff. Let’s connect so I can review the available production build, App Store version, and assets and determine the reconstruction scope. Regards, Shawana

Hi, Quantum Code Solutions is available to transform your iOS app recovery requirements into a fully functional, maintainable Xcode project. The core of a successful reverse-engineering effort lies in structured binary analysis using tools like Ghidra and Hopper to reconstruct class interfaces, method signatures, and app architecture while leveraging your existing assets and metadata. We plan to analyze the distributed production binary, extract structural flow, and rebuild a clean Objective-C/Swift codebase that compiles cleanly and passes App Store Connect validation. Recently, our team delivered a reverse-engineering and recovery project for a legacy iOS application with lost source files. We extracted the class headers, mapped out dynamic runtime dependencies, and reconstructed the application architecture into a modern Xcode workspace. We corrected provisioning mismatch errors, integrated original assets, and provided complete build documentation, enabling the client to deploy subsequent updates seamlessly to the App Store. We are eager to discuss the project further. Reach out to initiate a conversation! Best regards, Quantum Code Solutions

Hi, there. "REBUILD A MAINTAINABLE XCODE PROJECT FROM THE PUBLISHED IOS APP" - The real challenge is recovering enough application structure and behaviour from the production binary to create a clean project that can be maintained and released again. I would first inspect the binary structure, embedded frameworks, Objective-C/Swift symbols, resources and App Store metadata, then determine which parts can be recovered directly and which need functional reimplementation. The rebuilt project would be organised cleanly in Xcode with signing, build settings and dependencies documented for future releases. The key edge case is source parity: compiled Swift and Objective-C code cannot always be recovered exactly. I would identify those limitations early and reproduce missing behaviour through controlled reimplementation rather than claiming byte-for-byte source recovery. Can you provide the current production IPA or App Store build for an initial technical assessment? Looking forward to working with you.

Hi there, The hard part is not just recovering the source code; it’s ensuring the rebuilt app functions identically to the existing version while adhering to Apple’s guidelines. Since you have the production binary, we can begin with decompilation using tools like Hopper or Ghidra to analyze the app's structure and functionality. From there, I propose to reconstruct the Xcode project, ensuring it compiles and retains the same UI flow and features. Clear build instructions will also be provided for future updates. Could you clarify if there are any specific functionalities or features that are critical for the app's operation? Thank you.

Hello, After reviewing your project details, I understand the situation: you have a live App Store iOS application but the original Xcode project is unavailable, and you need either source recovery or a maintainable rebuild matching the production version. I have experience with iOS development, Swift, Objective-C, Xcode project structures, and application analysis. I can help evaluate the existing binary, identify frameworks and dependencies, and determine the most practical approach between reverse engineering and rebuilding key functionality. My approach would include: • Analyzing the available app binary and App Store metadata to understand architecture and dependencies. • Reviewing UI flows, resources, and frameworks to recreate a maintainable Xcode project. • Rebuilding missing logic where direct recovery is not possible. • Providing build documentation and a technical report covering findings and limitations. A couple of questions: • Do you have access to the original IPA file downloaded from App Store Connect, or only the installed production build? • Was the app originally developed in Swift, Objective-C, or do you know which framework was used? I will ensure the process follows Apple’s requirements and focuses on delivering a clean project that you can maintain and update in the future. Best regards, Carlos.
