This is an Android App, that would find a server that is being advertised (with Bonjour/zeroconfig) with a specific name.
When it finds the server over local wi-fi, it would output on the screen the advertised name of the server, the ip address, and the port in a dialog box.
when the user hits OK in the dialog box, the App will close the dialog box, and open a socket connection to the server.
when the socket is open, it will wait until it receives 1 or more bytes of data.
once it receives the bytes of data, it will close the socket connection.
once it receives closes the socket connection, it will send a standard http request to the same ip address but on port 80, and display the xml response on a log text box.
below the text box will be 2 graphical buttons (color bitmaps), side by side.
one button being clear. one button being quit. The buttons do not need to be pretty, but need to be color bitmaps.
when the user clicks the clear button the log screen will clear.
when the user clicks the quit button, the app will quit.
For the bid, the user will specify their environment.
what operating system/version
what development environment/version
what Android SDK/version
what language they will use to build the App. (Its expected to be Java but not required).
there needs to be full rights to all code, so that this code can be used for other projects.
