I have an existing frontend application that I want to connect to another backend system providing the same services as existing one. Both existing and new back-ends use regular HTTP/HTTPS POSTs with XML and have no huge differences. What I want is to have the option to switch between backend systems using one universal frontend application with ability to do that simply by changing Spring XML configuration.
This is mostly a refactoring work however some new development will be required.
Frontend is built on Java 6 and Struts 1.3 and run on Tomcat 6 container.
Strictly Java/Spring work. Developers experienced with java+.net+php+vb+perl+... will not be considered as a good candidates.
Developers who know GWT will be welcomed as there is an intention to rebuild the app using GWT and potentially move it to Google APP engine (not a part of current project).
