We need to be able to convert a table in an html page to a table in a word doc. Sample starting and finishing files attached.
Current process is manual and goes like this....
copy all of html table - 5 columns
paste into excel - unmerge cells, delete unwanted columns, sort (to get rid of blank rows)
copy to Word doc
We also have some instructions at the top of each table which is usually the same. There is one 3 column table in the resulting word doc, it would also be handy if 'track changes' was turned on for each end document.
Currently we may have to do this manually 15 times in one project which is time consuming.
We would like an applescript or java to do this. The software would need ot be easy to use, for non techy types and enable batches of files to be done if necessary. it would also need to work on macs and also pcs
