I am developing an android application that needs to hide all soft keys (Home, back, recents, search) and is compatible with Jelly Bean. There is another program on the market that does this called toddler lock (without root). The navigation bar needs to be hidden, but I still need to be able to interact with the screen without it reappearing. When I close my application the navigation bar needs to reappear.
1. Does this method work without rooting the device?
2. What minimum android API level will it require?
3. Does it implement the project objective (the navigation bar is hidden even when clicking buttons and drawing shapes on the screen)?
