We would like to offer our website visitors a way to select specific calendars on a form and have a single, large calendar load the selected calendars and combine them. We'll have around 10 separate calendars, all .ics
This should load dynamically and relatively instantly without a page reload. If possible, a simple check of a checkbox should change the calendar to reflect the changes.
We would like to use an existing, established Wordpress plugin for this, if at all possible (or practical). Such a plugin as "AMR iCal events" ([url removed, login to view])
Additionally, if this can be done without too much (any) backend code modifications, that's highly desirable.
Here's a very poor ASCII mockup of what we're after:
[x] Calendar One (subscribe to ics) [x] Calendar Two (subscribe to ics)
[ ] Calendar Three (subscribe to ics) [ ] Calendar Four (subscribe to ics)
<< Jun July Aug >>
Sun Mon Tue Wed Thu Fri Sat
In summary, our requirements:
- Dynamic calendar with content changing on checkboxes without a page reload
- Ability to easily subscribe to the individual .ics calendars (and if possible, subscribe to the 'selected' ones at once)
- Simple code with minimal/no backend modifications
- Uses an existing, established plugin (if possible)
- Attractive interface
