This is an lovely twitterlike character counter:
[url removed, login to view]
It's written for jQuery, cca 50 LOC. Would you think it will be possible to get it working on [url removed, login to view], without jQuery? This would be quest #1.
Quest #2 is to bind this new character counter to every textarea on the page that has a property dm:maxLength set. For example:
|textarea rows="3" dm:maxLength="300"| |/textarea|
will count characters and informs when they exceed 300.
I have no idea about the pricing so don't be offended by my offer - just put here yours.
to bold it out: the exact or at least very similar code to the posted example should be used. Using Prototype.js. For example, if you use document.getElementByID() to find the element, this will probably not be a ideal project to apply for.

Sir, This can be done fairly easily. The script can check the number of characters as they are typed and provide a warning. I can get this done in 3 days.
