Currently, I am taking an 8-12 page letter with variable data, and creating a merged document with a record limit of 100 records per document, and releasing 1000 records at a time. After I do that, I have 10 windows of MERGE-1, MERGE-2, etc. opened. I start at number 10, and then open the print booklet window to create a simple 2-up imposition and select a printer profile called "temp" and I paste in a page range similar to 1,501,2,502,3,503, etc. to create a 2-up cut and stack. Lastly I select the 2-up consecutive layout and hit print, and close the document without saving.
I would love to be able to script that last half, but would also be amazing to script the whole process. The only variable is the last string of my list, which isn't always a full thousand, and therefore my string that I past in has to be a different sequence.
If you are able to help in any aspect of this, I would like to know so, and what the projected cost would be for either level of automation.
