We are creating a B2B service for stores which sell products and services and want to allow their customer to pay a monthly recurring membership fee instead of the entire amount all paid at once.
We would like to have a e-commerce site built or one modified if already existing to allow us to facilitate and be the middleware between the membership customer and the stores which provide these monthly payment plans. The e-commerce site needs to be very flexible to allow many variation of membership as this will be provided to different stores and different needs. The e-commerce site needs to have integration with the QuickBooks Web Connector where QuickBooks will maintain the entire customer base, billing information and product line. The e-commerce site needs to have full access to the customer as well as the individual stores. The three parties involved in each transaction are: (1. Stores 2. Membership Customers 3. Our company). Our customer is the actual store which is paying us for providing this service to them. Our need for this product is immediate and we are open to current product which many have a way to do most of what we need if it shortens the time to launch and reduced cost of acquisition. Clearly this is a very high level description of our needs, but it should give a good representation of the overall scope of the project.
Here are the needs for each of the individuals involved:
The membership customer who is the direct customer for the store will come to the stores website. There the customer needs to ability to choose the store they want to belong to, then choose a plan based on the amount of product and services whey want which will automatically create a monthly payment amount. They need to create an account, fill in the billing services and receive a welcome email. Their future needs will include the ability to log back into their account and see their billing history, their membership plan details as well as which products or services they have already received and which ones are still outstanding. They should also have the ability to update or change their billing information if the QuickBooks Web Connector allows for that to occur.
The store will need to be notified as well when a new customer signs up. They will need the ability to log in and look at the membership information including the ability to complete which tasks they have performed in services or product sold so that the customer’s account is always current and up to date. The store will also need the ability to run basic reports on the amount of new customers, how many services and product were sold over a period of time. In addition, they will need notification when certain products need to be shipped if for instance the products are shipped every month or every three months from their store to the membership customer.
We will need the ability to sign up new stores and give them an easy way to put our checkout shopping carts on their individual sites. As their membership customers sign up, the product they selected, their contact and billing information needs to be uploaded to our internal QuickBooks data file via the QuickBooks Web Connector for monthly billing.
