Yume-Flow Player integration

The Objective of this project is to integrate the YuMe ad network ([url removed, login to view]) with the Flash-based Flow video player ([url removed, login to view]). We are a YuMe reseller company looking for an experienced developer to completely and properly integrate these two platforms.

Web advertising has evolved from text, to display and now to video. YuMe is a leading ad network built exclusively for the web video world, providing advertisers and publishers the unprecedented ability to identify, classify and track content to ensure brand safety, contextual relevance, controlled syndication and consistent delivery across all digital media platforms – web, downloads, mobile and IPTV.

The YuMe solution enables publishers to easily integrate many different ad formats and ad sources via a single integration. As new ad formats and features are added to the YuMe platform, they become instantly available to you through an integrated player. To implement, the publisher simply replace two files—YuMe’s SWF library and SWF ad player—with those from the latest YuMe Flash SDK release (attached) and the player is opened up to all the latest capabilities offered by YuMe.

The following are the prerequisites and attached are the SDK tools to conduct this integration.

PREREQUISITES

This integration project requires an understanding of how to develop web pages and applications using ActionScript, JavaScript, CSS & HTML. You should be familiar with the fundamentals of XML and have a basic knowledge of online media formats including image and video. You can use your preferred text editing program to access most source files.

You will also need to have access and familiarity with the Adobe Flash tools depending on your minimum integration requirements; Flash 8 for our AS2 SDK, Flash CS3 for our AS3 SDK. Since our SDK uses platform independent technology and standards, you can develop on any platform you choose as long as you have the tools to build a Flash SWF from source files.

You will need to have access to a web server in order to test your player and later, during the QA process, we will ask you to host your YuMe integrated player on a semipublic web page for YuMe to validate. Of course, you’ll need a web browser that is compatible with the latest Flash Player

plugin.
