The task is to build a *multiplanar reconstruction module* for the following Javascript library: [url removed, login to view]

This library takes radiology images in the .DICOM format, and integrates a parser that converts DICOM images into grayscale display values.

Multiplanar reconstruction (MPR) is a technique used in two-dimensional tomographic imaging (computed tomography and magnetic resonance) to generate sagittal, coronal, and oblique views from axial sections.

The goal of the project is to add MPR functionality to the cornerstone Javascript library.

Requirements:

The goal of this project is to create a JAVASCRIPT module that takes in an input and output orientation (e.g. axial to sagittal) and reslices the 3D DICOM data in the input format in order to display it in the output format.

- The integration of the module with the interface should be demonstrated with a simple demo with a dropdown to select the input and output orientations, and a button to run the reslicing.

- The reslicing time should be no more than 10 ms per slice on a test input of 1000 slices (10 seconds total for 1000 slices).

- The project should make use of Javascript typed arrays for the reslicing. See the following StackOverflow question for an explanation: [url removed, login to view]

- You may also use inspiration from XTK, which already implements this sort of functionality: [url removed, login to view]

- The module should be 100% Javascript and should not rely on any external dependencies unless explicitly allowed by us. You may use the following library: [url removed, login to view]

The budget for this project is 750$ (fixed, non-negotiable). All bids that do not match this amount will not be considered.
