Electron PDF brochure viewer/browser

Goal: Building a portable application capable of organizing and displaying product brochure PDF’s dynamically utilizing the [login to view URL] plugin for rendering and allowing users to print copies of brochure if so desired.
Implementation: User interface is built in Electron using HTML/CSS/Javascript. Layout is handled via FlexBox and each thumbnail for literature is generated dynamically in JS using data provided in a [login to view URL] file, storing information on thumbnails data attributes.
Project Status: User interface is currently working as well as [login to view URL] implementation. Users can scroll through thumbnails and click on a PDF to view it in the Flipbook plugin. From there they can return to the main screen and choose another PDF. Project does compile using Electron-Packager and runs as expected.
Needs:
Printing - Currently our attempts to find a suitable printing option with Electron have been unsatisfactory. We need to be able to load a web-quality version of a PDF to view in Flipbook (working currently), but be able to send a print-quality version of the PDF to a printer if the user wishes to print. User must be able to choose which printer the file is sent to. (i.e. not silent printing)
Dynamic JSON loading - Currently the application loads all of the brochure information from a single master JSON file. We need to be able to have users import a different [login to view URL] file from a remote address to display different configurations of visible literature, e.g. some users will only get to see some product brochures.
Application Updating - In addition to dynamic json loading for configuration, we also need to be able to update the application remotely. Upon application launch, we need it to check its config file against one on a server, compare and download any new version to replace its current config file.
PDF Versioning & Updating - Additionally, a mechanism to check and ensure the application is always loading the newest version of a brochure. We update our brochures from time to time, and the app will need to check remotely if a newer version exists, and replace the current one if it does.
