We are looking for a better way to track and approve costs in our construction project. We need an application that can generate a Daily Summary Report to track and approve costs.
The daily summary report will have three generated tables: Labour (which has employee name, hours, rate, phase code, cost) Equipment (type, cost, full or standby hours) & Materials, and Subcontractor / Third-party Expenses. The site superintendent will have rights to input daily labour, equipment & materials, under the proper acitivity (phase code) while the project manager will have rights to edit the inputs and also submit Subcontractor / Third-party Expenses. The Engineer will have rights to approve/edit the inputs from the superintendent and the project manager. Labour, equipment and material rates will be pre-approved and locked. Some additional toggles are required for labour such as if they are provided per diem. Labour, equipment, and materials all receive 15% mark-up while Subcontractor / Third-party Expenses only receive 10%.
Addendum 1: Crew feature. Ability to group labourers, operators and foreman in crew. For instance 10 crew members, 1 foreman, 2 operators, 7 labourers. Assume same phase codes and hours applied to all crew members from previous inputs/report. Also ability to assign equipment to operator with associated hours and phase code.
