This extension is for reddit and only works properly on Chrome. If I try to use it in Firefox using "Chrome Store Foxified" extension then it only works partially and is unusable in that state. I want to commission someone to sit down and properly translate the extension so that it works 100% on Firefox as it does on Chrome.
The extension is "rcomments for reddit" on the Google Chrome Store and has source on github. You could also check out "Chrome Store Foxified" version of the extension as a starting point for the translation.
The extension acts on [url removed, login to view] pages and shows comments on the page when one hovers over the comments link, and loads it without any page loads. It shows the top level comment (level 1 comment), 1 at a time, and has a button to load more top level comments (more level 1 comments). You can also click to see replies (level 2 comments) to that top level comment or load more replies (other level 2 comments). You could then click to load replies to those replies (level 3 comments) and keep going deeper if you wanted. Not only are the comments displayed, but the voting arrows are also included for every comment so that one could see, read, and vote on the comments right from the front page and not have to load new tabs for every post and not have to leave the front page ever.
The only things I want to add to the translation would be 1) load x amount of top level comments by default instead of just 1 2) add a permalink that leads to the specific comment with correct context options. These can be optional and depends on if you can do it. The extension should be compatible with Reddit Enhancement Suite's Never Ending Reddit module that loads additional posts on the front page inline once the browser reaches the bottom of the page. So, basically, the new posts loaded on the front page by Never Ending Reddit should be acted on by the 'rcomments for reddit' extension.
