I have a legal contract from a client, which i need to modify. To be specific i need to add five minor modifications to limit my liability and protect my interests. My bid is provisional, based on what state you are in and what state law the contract calls for. Anyone who writes contracts for you or gives legal advice and who is not a licensed lawyer is likely doing unauthorized practice of law. It is best to have someone who really knows the legal interpretation and consequences of words -- how courts interpret them. Can you tell me what state you are in or what state law the contract calls for?
