We are a US based company who provides business services to the SMB market. Recently we have been installing systems that will require a minimum amount of customer service/tech support (on average, less than 5 hours per month each). This is not a full time position, but as time goes on, it will be.
Diagnose and resolve technical hardware and software issues relating to Server 2013/Desktop/Laptop/Tablet computers, networks, Windows, wireless, printers/scanners, enterprise applications, and other related equipment.
Address issues relating to customers on VDI / remote desktops.
Assist other Help Desk Technicians to address issues.
Work with vendors in a collaborative manner to resolve issues.
Communicate with end users by phone, email, and via ticket system
In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Operating systems including Windows 7/8/10, Windows Server 2008/2012, Microsoft office applications such as Outlook, Excel and Word, logical networking technologies such as Microsoft\'s Active Directory and Windows Deployment Services. Tasks will include adding workstations/devices to the Domain, adding users, configuring VPN and/or Remote Access, Backup/Restore support and light wireless network configuration.
Have 2+ years Window server administration experience or have Microsoft professional certifications and demonstrate competent Windows Server administration skills.
Networks and wireless security
Responsibilities may require weekend or late evening work in response to the needs of the systems being supported.
Experience with virtualization technology such as VMWare and Citrix XenServer.
Experience with telephony/VoIP concepts and equipment.
We would be looking for someone to work on a long-term basis as part of our team, but we would initially want to try you out for a few weeks to see how you perform and how you get along with the team.
