Mplayer reinstall on Centos

I've just configured a dedicated server to run Rayzz and it's almost %100 in working order except FLV file conversions. Whenever uploading an FLV the thumbnails come out corrupt, pixilated and it only takes a snapshot of the first frame instead of half way into the video as its suppose to for the thumbnail. For all other file formats its fine, just FLV files (which are going to be 80% of the content Im adding).

I've had this exact same problem with a hosting company last week ([url removed, login to view]) and I told them Agriya suspects its Mplayer. Sure

enough, the host upgraded Mplayer and everything started working flawlessly.

Another coder and I attempted to update the encoders today but Rayzz doesn't like them. It would say "Error found, internal problem

occurred in your video" so I reverted them back to the old versions below. (installed via Yum)

MEncoder 1.0rc1-4.1.2 (C) 2000-2006 MPlayer Team

MPlayer 1.0rc1-4.1.2 (C) 2000-2006 MPlayer Team

The following two versions are what my other host upgraded them too that work perfectly, but they dont state version numbers so its hard to tell what version they really are.

MEncoder dev-SVN-rUNKNOWN-3.4.6 (C) 2000-2007 MPlayer Team

MPlayer dev-SVN-rUNKNOWN-3.4.6 (C) 2000-2007 MPlayer Team

I need someone to help fix this problem by properly upgrading Mplayer and Mencoder. This person "MUST" have experience with installing these apps. My expectation from this coder is to help get my site to create clean non-pixilated thumbnails from FLV's (taken from someplace in the middle of the video, not FRAME 1). This job may be a simple encoder reinstall or it may entail some deeper trouble shooting.

Dear Sir, I might be able to help you install MPlayer from the source code. We will never need to do an online installation. It should be very easy and I can instruct you on how to do it. Thanks and good luck.
