We are management consultant company, without a technical member on staff. We outsourced development of a project on behalf of client to an IT firm in South East Asia.
That firm has shut down due to COVID. Last 1 month no response from all known contacts. We cannot travel and take legal pursuit against them due to travel restrictions.
That IT firm had hosted our client's platform on their own account, including codebase repositories (due to discounts they could offer cheaper rates then our clients direct account). We were maybe 5-6 weeks from completion and launch.
Because only they had access to repositories + production codebase, we are completely locked out of all assets we have paid for. Maybe since their firm dissolved, they may have stopped paying for repositories themselves and they may even be deleted.
Luckily we have managed to find a development server in our access. It was AWS EC2 instance they used during development and testing phase. It has maybe 70-80% project completion ready & we believe it can help us resume project development. We believe least something will be better than starting from zero.
Since none of us have technical experience, we require someone to pull whatever code exists on that server, and restore it to our private account repository. It is PHP + angular project.
We think we have recovered necessary credentials from email correspondence - instance login credentials, .pem file, .ppk file, cpanel credentials.
After retrieving code, if you can inspect the quality of code & completion % against our requirements, it will be an added benefit from your skillset, but not a part of this job. We can discuss it later. You can mention your PHP Angular skillset, but not mandatory.
We have been advised by our colleagues it would take maybe 2-3 hour of your work + time to actually upload / download codebase to repositories which depends on internet connection. Total job time is estimated to be less than 5 hours. But we will pay for minimum 5 hours, no matter actual time.
We will be doing this job remotely via screenshare - you will give us instructions on how to pull our codebase into our repository and we will do it on our system. You will be with us on screenshare for the duration.
Reply must include technical skillset.
Update on 5 July 2020:
Our client as already tried accessing instance with .ppk file & username + password from old correspondence. He was unable to connect via WinSCP.
Job may involve having to need to generate a new .ppk using .pem file, or need to permit new network security rule, or need to transfer AMI to another new instance, or anything necessary to access data on the instance.
Basically job is - there is an instance with data in AWS account owned by client. The codebase on the instance needs to be recovered and saved to a repository, despite any issues that may arise.
If you can still help, message again.

I can do this. Kindly contact me and let me investigate more. I would need the ip address of the server instance and the pem key. I have been working with AWS for more than 7 years.
He man, I can help you out I am a full-stack developer and have knowledge about linux servers and EC2 instances. I don't have any experience in php or angular. But surely I can get back your codebase.
