We have a fully functioning Magento e-commerce website.
Our current Magento website has one root category, and 15 subcategories. We have set up a 2nd physical warehouse, and we need to copy all of our products into a new root category so that we can track inventory, etc. properly in the 2nd physical warehouse.
We have 600 SKUs and two web stores. We are running on Apache on a dedicated Linux server.
We have one European physical Warehouse.
We have one US physical Warehouse.
We have one US/International website, using Dollars. The US/International website should use the US physical Warehouse.
We have two European websites, using Euros. The two European websites should use the European physical Warehouse.
The Catalogs of all websites are almost exactly the same.
We need to have the ability, using Magento Admin, to use the US physical Warehouse when the European physical Warehouse is out of stock of an item. This does not need to be automatic.
Your job is to make a copy the existing categories AND products into a new root category in a safe manner without disrupting our business. You must test the new setup and show that it works with complete reliability. You must enter the inventory numbers into the new root category.
If you have a proposal how to do this without creating a new root category, we would be happy to hear about it.
You must be a Magento expert, and have excellent feedback on freelancer or other websites. You must show references.
You must give us complete access to all the steps you make to achieve this goal, including any changes to files, settings, etc., and we must approve all steps to be taken.
Looking forward to your bid!
