We’re a small business consultancy based in Poole Dorset, working with ‘solo-preneurs’ and SMEs in the Dorset and Hampshire areas.
We have a proven product and marketing process, which works very well in a face to face environment, such as business networking meetings. We’re looking for an individual who can represent us at these meetings, engage with other attendees, and tell them about what we do, with the goal of inviting them to attend one of our free ‘tasters’.
As well as the face to face representation there may be further follow up involved by phone or email after the initial discussion (Note, no cold calling is required though!).
We provide a great product that genuinely helps people, and they always enjoy attending the tasters. So in many ways it’s an easy ‘sell’; the challenge is being able to initially identify suitable targets (i.e. business owners) and strike up that initial rapport such that the invitation to the taster event is natural and welcomed (we don’t hard sell or hound people!)
So we’re looking for an individual with the following qualities:
- Good interpersonal skills, able to communicate, engage, and create a good impression.
- Able to converse with business owners at different levels of seniority (i.e. from new business to well-established).
- Doesn’t need to be an expert in business consulting, but will need sufficient awareness and knowledge of the business arena to be able to talk credibly with the business owners.
- Must be able to travel by own means to business and networking events in Dorset or Hampshire (ideally both). Note that these events can be early morning or late in the day, so must be able to work flexibly to suit the scheduling of the available events.
Proposals welcomed from serious applicants who have read the above spec. We'd envisage trialling the arrangement for an initial period of 1 to 3 months. If successful the work could be an ongoing requirement.
