Marketing and sales support for a commercial photography studio in the UK

May I start please by saying that I will not consider auto-bids, and I can spot them almost every single time. If you place what I believe is an irrelevant bid, I will tell you, I will give you one hour to re-read the project, re-write your proposal and submit it. Don't argue, plead or beg. It's demeaning for you and annoying for me. Remember I am paying you. After one hour without amendment I will reject your bid. You won't get a second chance. I only deal with professional people.

I run a successful small commercial photography studio in West Sussex on the south coast of the United Kingdom, and also work on location. The studio is running at 35% capacity, and I am personally running at less than 30% capacity. I have time on my hands. However my client base stretches worldwide, not only on this site, but on a number of other websites. In total I have over 600 references from clients, colleagues and sub-contractors, with those clients in over 40 countries on five of the six continents. Every single reference I have is positive.

My work covers, fashion and glamour, commercial advertising, product photography including work for Amazon and similar sites, high performance vehicles and vehicle insurance claim work, architecture and interiors, including work within the travel journalism, estate agency and lettings markets, virtual tours to Google See Inside standards, in-house real-time virtual reality, family, pet and corporate portraiture, fine art, boudoir and erotica, charity photo event management, and I also hire out my studio to other photographers, tutors, designers etc. I am a trained dancer in my youth and still specialise in dance photography with a particular love of ballet. I scout for four major model agencies and shoot a lot of model, acting and dance portfolios.

About the only thing I do not photograph is weddings, although I do photograph bridal fashion.

Please note that I do not work inside London any more because of travel delays.

My problem is a lack of time sourcing and communicating with new clients because of unrelated commitments. And that's where you come in.

The amount you bid is frankly irrelevant. You will be paid 10% of the value of work you bring to me from sources I might not otherwise see, with payment to you on settlement of the client's bill. For example, bring a fashion photography job in to my studio, even if the client is elsewhere in the world, and I will pay you 10% of the value of that job on settlement. If that job is worth $10000, you will be paid $1000. It's that simple.

Now don't just write the stock answer you give everyone. I couldn't give a damn about all the websites you have written, your skills in SEO, C+ or Morris Dancing. The number of references you have are of absolutely no interest to me whatsoever.

I am looking for several people, not just one, and I will take on the right people, not necessarily the ones with the loudest voices or the biggest egos. Sales and marketing are subtle skills. I have worked extensively in the advertising industry myself, including in managerial and senior training roles. I can spot a faker a mile off.

Please take an hour to think what you are going to write before you start typing anything.
