Instead of using MS Access the same can be achieved using MS Excel, with all the required Input forms and Reports designed in VBA. Do a skeleton database - i.e. all the screens and fields displayed, but little functionality When the above has been approved by you 3. Add the functionality Get your approval, before doing the reports in a similar manner

I would suggest now that you should avoid Access solutions, but to go on some Desktop application (probably C#) with SQL Server in the background which will allow you to share the data between multiple computers...

I can do this for you. I have experience in building outside plant as well. I have project management experience running a crew of 10 to 15 directional drills laying Comcast fibre all over the northeast. Your requirements are clear and I can ask you the questions that will help you build a solid system. Although I have to admit, I never recommend Access to anyone as its a very simple low lever database not meant to be shared among multiple users. There's better options for that.

i have similar experience with a database i created last year for the company i was working for. This database was used to monitor the financial status of 5 working groups sharing in 25 running projects. i created plenty of forms, queries and financial reports while giving the user many options to create his output report such as: 1- select certain group or all groups 2- select certain time period 3- select booking from certain project or from all projects. 4- monitor the balance and display red alarm in case of -ve values for any group i have the capabilities to use macros and/or VB code to achieve any special requirements you may need to have in your database.

I am new to Freelancer, but I have 18 years experience as an Access consultant working on hundreds of projects large and small. One of my clients builds and maintains cell phone towers in NJ. The program keeps track of pertinent data on each site. They can enter workorders, purchase orders, apply materials, enter labor hours that get charged to each job, keep track of change orders etc. etc. Plus they have a tracker to keep track of where they are on each job. The sum result of all the data entry is ability to run job costing reports on each job, prepare payroll reports and many other things. This is a big project that does everything. Your project seems much simpler. But I think you get the idea that I would know how to tackle and complete your project. Because of my many years experience, I can get projects up and running quickly and I can come in at a good price.
