The application will allow friends to bet against each other on real world events. This application is designed for small bets that take place within groups of friends. This will simply be a prototype so all data will be stored on the devices, no server implementation is needed. The user will need to create an account with a username, password, email, first name, last name and credit card or paypal details (although no verification is needed as no money transferring will take place). The account will have a friends list (friends can be added by using username of an already existing account on the phone). To start a bet one or multiple friends from the friends list are chosen. The conditions, $ amount and finishing time/ no finishing time etc. are entered. The friends can then accept or reject the bet. To tell the outcome of the bet to the application, when creating the bet two options for decision can be chosen. Referee or vote. Referee means someone in the friends list who is not part of the bet is chosen. Vote means once time is up, or bet is ended, all users involved in the bet vote on what the outcome was. An account summary page will need to exist which keeps track of previous/current bets and a range of stats such as won/lost, profit overall etc.
Documentation will need to be created along the way of any problems encountered, how they were overcome, basically anything significant that occurred in the creation of the app. This is to be preferably larger than 2500 words.
