Simple proof of concept Android WiFi survey data capture app

I need a simple proof of concept Android 7" tablet application that will assist a field technician in capturing necessary data from a WiFi installation and e-mailing it to an email address - to streamline the data acquisition and not waste time fiddling with the camera roll and composing e-mails. The completed app is needed as a "quick 'n dirty" but functional application before 20h00 GMT on 7 Oct 2012 to demonstrate functionality and feasibility. A more polished app will be specified, requested and paid as a separate project.

The app must have four GUI tabs for the data capure of relevant information: Photos, Signal, Job Card, Info, with functionality available per tab as follows:

Photos tab:

The photos tab must have a grid layout of four blocks labelled AP1, AP2, Store1 and Store2. Tapping each lock must open the device camera so a photo can be taken at that time, when the photo is taken the photo is to be scaled and shown in the block that was tapped. Tapping a block that already has a photo shown in it is to discard the photo and allow a new one to take its place as per the new photo procedure.

Signal tab:

The signal tab must have a grid layout of four blocks labelled A, B, C, and D. Tapping each block must display in a new window a scrollable list (in rows) of all WiFi SSIDs, MAC Addresses and Signal per SSID, refreshed every 5 seconds. There is to be a pause button to toggle the refresh cycle. When paused, each row of SSID, MAC and Signal is to be toggle selectable by tapping it. Another button called save is to return to the Signal tab and populate the block tapped with the set of SSIDs, MACs and Signals that were selected Tapping a block that already has SSID signal info in it is to discard the info and allow updated signal info to be captured its place as per the new signal info procedure.

Job Card tab:

Field agents will be filling in a paper form during the survey. The Job Card tab is to have two block labelled Page1 and Page2. Tapping on a block is to open the camera application and enable a photo to be captured as per the Photos tab, with the taken photo to be scaled and shown in the block tapped. Tapping a block that already has a photo shown in it is to discard the photo and allow a new one to take its place as per the new photo procedure.

Info tab:

The info tab is to have a two-column grid of labels and text field to allow the entry of the following fields: Ticket Number, Site Name, E-mail address

There is to be a button called GPS that when tapped will acquire the current GPS location

There is to be a button called Send that when tapped will send all the acquired information to the e-mail address.

The e-mail to be sent will have the information structured as follows:

E-mail Subject: Survey data for site <Site Name>, ticket <Ticket Number>

Email body contents:

Ticket Number: <Ticket Number>

Site Name: <Site Name>

GPS: <GPS Co-Ordinate>

Signal A: <Pipe separated list of SSID, MAC and Signal eg: SSID1,00:AA:BB:CC:DD:EE,-85|SSID2,11:22:33:44:55:66>

Signal B: <Pipe separated list of SSID, MAC and Signal eg: SSID1,00:AA:BB:CC:DD:EE,-85|SSID2,11:22:33:44:55:66>

Signal C: <Pipe separated list of SSID, MAC and Signal eg: SSID1,00:AA:BB:CC:DD:EE,-85|SSID2,11:22:33:44:55:66>

Signal D: <Pipe separated list of SSID, MAC and Signal eg: SSID1,00:AA:BB:CC:DD:EE,-85|SSID2,11:22:33:44:55:66>

The photos are to be E-mail attachments labelled as follows:

The E-mail attachments are to be at the original size and resolution as captured by the camera - ie: not the small scaled versions used for rendering within the app.
