IPhone, IPad, Android Mobile, Android Tablet
The client is a High end luxury brand who believes that the target market is using Smartphone’s and tablets to access information online and is therefore looking to develop a series of Apps that will improve the user experience over traditional websites and will provide a sumptuous viewing experience to view and download further information about the products.
The customer has 50 products that are unique and need to be individually showcased within the App environment. Each product will feature a series of images (up to 6), product information, Key bullet points, and pricing. Products will be categorised in to groups, and then in to individual products.
Other product Considerations
By the nature of this product, no two are the same. And because of their cost they are only available in certain locations throughout the world.
Each Product should also feature information about the place its located in. This will be local information and relevant images. Links to a mapping service such as Google maps would also work well.
We would like to include a simple product search that will enable the user to quickly hone in on the product most suitable for their requirements; the criteria will be Product size and location.
Each Product has its own 30 second video; we would welcome input on how would be the best way to implement this in to an App environment, and how this would work Offline.
Each Product has its own PDF datasheet that is stored online; access to these PDF’s will require connectivity.
Whilst the product is very much a considered purchase and because of its value will not be purchased though a mobile site or App, we do need to display currant indicative pricing. Because of the changeable nature of pricing Rocktime will provide an XML feed of pricing that will need to be incorporated in to the App. Prices will need to be updated when the App is running and connectivity is available, if no connectivity is available then previous pricing will be shown.
Users will be able to store favourites for easy navigation back to a product. Upon clicking the “More” button users will be presented with the following options:
• Add to Favourites
• Send Product photo via Email
• Send Product Datasheet Via Email
• Open Datasheet
• Print Datasheet
News will be displayed within the App; again this will be powered by an XML feed from Rocktime. Push notifications will need to be implemented so the user is aware of new news even when the App is closed.
This will forms a list of service centres ( and service options) that are available to the customer.
A contact area will be available in the App, but also at the end of every product an ‘Enquire‘ button will be available than will either send an email enquiry or allow the app to make a phone call to the client
There will also be a separate section on key contacts within the company. Key information such as phone numbers, email address and a small photo will be available. Users should have the option to save a particular person to their phone contacts if they wish.
What we need from you.
At this stage all we require from you in indicative pricing for the development of these four Apps. If you’re selected to move forward to will ask you to sign a Rocktime Non Disclosure Agreement (NDA) after which we will discuss more about the project and the client.
It is also understood that the project will involve more than one developer to satisfy the above platforms.
