Iridium satellite phones can receive 160 character text messages when the iridium website is used to send that message.
(see [url removed, login to view] for that website)
I want an app for the iphone that does the same thing.
On a separate page/tab the text from the FAQ page should be displayed.
Once a message is sent via the website there is a delay while the website sends the message and reports back whether or not the message could be sent. This confirmation should be seen on the app.
The phone number the message is sent to should be able to be selected from the iphone's contact list.
An error will show if the number entered doesn't start 8816
If the number in the contact list starts +8816 then the + will be removed and the rest of the number will used.
On launching a interstitial / hold page will show for 2 seconds with a logo and text. Exact details TBC.
The reply email should default to the default email address on the phone but it should also be possible to delete / chane this email address.
The number of characters left should be displayed. The number of characters in the reply email address count towards this. If a user tries to send a message with over 160 characters in, the app will not try to send the text message and will let the user know that some characters need to be deleted.
