Need help designing and configuring openBTS and Asterisk - along with hardware required to create a 01 01 test GSM tower.
Our interest is scientific and honorable and the resulting product will not be manufactured, sold or used outside the labratory environment, However, research indicates that OpenBTS is an open-source Unix application that uses a Universal Software Radio Peripheral (USRP) to present a GSM air interface ("Um") to standard GSM handset and uses the Asterisk® software PBX to connect calls. The combination of the ubiquitous GSM air interface with VoIP backhaul could form the basis of a new type of cellular network that could be deployed and operated at substantially lower cost than existing technologies in greenfields in the developing world.
We find this of great interest but need an expert consultant to help us create the prototype necessary to obtain grants and angel financing. Your participation is not limited to this initial effort and we are more than willing to discuss futire equity and compensation - in addtion the the budget allocated for this project.
