I need an Android app sound recorder that can be paused that shows the elapsed time with a thin vertical bar. It must pause the recording and then save the file when a trim button is clicked and remove silence at the end and then skip backward again to find dead space behind the last spoken word(s) and remove them and then playback the audio automatically to review the end of the audio file and stop automatically. If the user doesn't save the file at that point then the vertical bar will sit at the new end to the audio file and allow the user to continue recording. Whenever the user continues the recording the elapsed time will be saved and the file saved by number. When the user presses save all the files will be joined together in the background and then saved as a single audio file. Any background data will then be cleared if any exists and the file segments will then be deleted leaving only the one continuous file. Care should be taken to maintain a dead space between joined file segments. When the audio file is trimmed it must look for the second dead space from the end of the audio file and not just trim the audio by a predetermined number of seconds to correct dictation errors. Their should also be an option to save the recording and allow for the dictation to restart at a later time. The saved file should be stored in a folder the user can browse to to allow the user to continue with a time date stamp that will be reloaded when the user selects it showing the elapsed time so far with the vertical bar located at the extreme left and showing ready to resume. The last file name will be stored in memory. When the app opens it will ask the user if he wishes to continue the last recording. If the user agrees then the timestamp file name will also appear and the last 20 seconds of the audio file will playback as verification to the user of it's content an the end of the audio file. The time elapsed will be shown on the screen in minutes and seconds as the file length
as a digital display and will be updated whenever a recording continues.
