Program to upgrade bowling scoring
Budget $1500-3000 CAD
Our bowling society is looking into getting a new scoring program up and running. I’ll give you an idea of some of the options we’re hoping to have.
We have about 16 teams in a 5 pin league with 4 players/team. Our season is about 16 games.
Our plan is to have 4 TVs and 4 iPads with Apple TVs to transfer the iPad info to the tv screens (can be android too if easier). Each team will use one tv so we’d like to have each player’s score showing throughout the game on the tv. So four scores, as well as team score total at the end.
We’ll need to keep each player’s score throughout the year as well as the team scores.
Averages and high averages/player
High scores/week and for year to date
Handicaps
Possibly have 5 pins on the iPad that the score keeper can just touch to signify those pins are down and have the calculations automatic. If pins are too tough to do then just the number would be fine.
Pin counts from one end to the other are
2-3-5-3-2. Not sure how to show gutter balls.
Set up the team handicap as well as have options to add spare player’s averages/handicaps.
We found a 10 pin app that looks great to us but useless as we are 5 pin.
