We are looking for a software engineer with experience in Xamarin, ASP.NET MVC and C# to work on the eMoodie platform.
eMoodie is a developmentally-informed, experience sampling platform specifically designed for research with children and adolescents. The platform was created as a research tool for the purpose of studying digital technology use, emotions, socialization patterns, and health factors (e.g., physical activity and sleep) in children and adolescents.
The platform is made up of two parts:
- A mobile app (available both for iOS and Android) which is used by research participants (i.e. children and adolescents) to fill in questionnaires and surveys, and also unobtrusively collects data from different sensors on the device
- A web-based back office which allows researchers to define the questionnaires and surveys which appear in the mobile app, and also to download the participants’ responses for analysis
Development work will include:
Bug fixes: There is currently a series of functional bugs in the backlog which have been reported by customers which we would like to fix
Enhancements: This includes both minor functionality addition (e.g. addition of small functionality based mainly on customer requests), as well as technical refactoring tasks to make the platform more robust and maintainable in the long term (e.g. adding in automated tests)
New features: Those are bigger pieces of functionality based on identified strategic opportunities (e.g. multi-user functionality to allow more than one research group to use the platform at a time)
We are looking for a retainer forma contract; between 24-40 hours per week (open for discussion depending on availability), for a period of minimum 8 weeks, renewable every 8 weeks (negotiable).
More information can be found in the attached doc.
