We are an advertising agency in Michigan, USA, and we have been tasked with creating a promotional reel for a client: a small, intimate music venue. We have a production crew that will be shooting the footage for the video and they will also be editing the video, however, we need a motion graphics designer to create an opening sequence, some transitions, and a brief closing sequence. The entire video, start to finish, is between 2 and 2 1/2 minutes long. The opening sequence will be around 20-30 seconds, but it needs to be HOT; really incredible. We will provide a full creative brief upon hiring and you will receive storyboards outlining exactly what we need. You will, however, have artistic freedom to add your own flair to the work (and we hope you do). Any vector graphics (etc) necessary for your work will be delivered to you immediately and will be exactly what you need. Since you will be working with an advertising agency, the process should be very simple. We've worked with dozens of very high profile clients on an international stage over the past 18 years and we know what we are doing. You have our 100% support to make this a positive and enjoyable experience for you.
You will be delivering the following:
1/ 20-30 second opening sequence
2/ (3) transition variations (in the same style as opening sequence)
3/ short 5-10 second closing sequence (very similar to opening sequence to tie it all together)
Since all of the items created will use the same style that you will create for the opening sequence and because we will be giving you the creative brief outlining what we're seeking, the creative process should be very streamlined and quick. You have the resources of our entire project team available to assist you.
We will start shooting October 22, 2013, but you can begin work on the motion graphics portion any time after October 26, 2013. We will work with you to give you as much time as possible.
Because it is a music venue project, it has a lot of potential to be fun and exciting. We hope you see it the same way. Thank you for your consideration. We look forward to working with you.
