we need an excellent team or developer who can implement a window soptimization / tuning application in C# for us (preferably 2.0 but other versions are OK as well). The software that we would like to have developed is a multilingual Windows Optimize Tool for Windows XP, Windows Vista and Windows 7 (32- and 64 Bit).
The idea is to give the user the possibility to customize his windows, change some operation system settings to increase the performance and manage the services and auto start entries. Furthermore a website will provide some information about the services and auto start entries, which the users can rate and comment.
The functions of the application are splitted in the following categories.
Managing Windows services (start/stop). Additionally the application should provide suggestions, which services should be activated or deactivated. Moreover the users can rate and comment the services. The rates should be saved on a server and shown in the application. The comments should be shown on a website together with the ratings.
Managing Autostart entries of Windows (add, remove, deactivate). As in the service manager we will need a rating/commenting functionality again as well as suggestions.
Will save the changes of the last 30 days and provide the user to do the changes undone.
This needs to be flexible because we want to later extend the program with additional tools.
When this is clicked, the program will always monitor the user activity and will give high priotiry to the application/window that the user is currently looking at.
In addition to this, the user should be able to define applications that will automatically trigger the "Power-Now" Mode. If such an application is tharted, then the PowerNow mode will be executed automatically. Because of this, we probably need a small System-Tray Application that monitors the processes all the time and starts the "power now" mode if necessary.
A tool provides System information about the hardware, software and operating system.
The application should start with a "Setting-Wizard" at the first start that asks the user some questions about his preferences. For example it might ask the user "do you use a Tablet PC?". If the user says no, then the service manager knows that it can recommend to switch off the Tablet PC Service...
A Dahboard/Main Window will show a summary UI of all modules allowing users to start them and to see recommendations (e.g. "5 Serveices should be switched off. Click here to start the Service Manager").
After bidding, we will provide you a screendesign for the application as well as a detailed project specification.
