The application, code name Sinac, is a small business management solution aimed at service oriented industries focused on scheduling services for employees and customers. The application is not intended cover all aspects of business management, but focuses primarily on matching customers to services and employees through a complete scheduling solution. Limited support for invoicing is provided, but this application is not intended to replace a dedicated accounting system.
The following features are identified as “core” features that have first priority for development, testing, user experience, and roll-out.
- The scheduling and calendar user experience should be first-rate. The schedule must include multi-resource capabilities. (ref. UC112)
- Support for services and products provided through Sinac Clients to their Customers (such as gift-card services and some products) must be first-rate. (e.g. Our company will provide gift card services to our Clients. Our Clients will configure this service/product through their portal and resell it to their Customers directly. Our company will be responsible for managing and administering the overall gift-card service). (ref. UC111)
- Invoicing (though simple) must be robust and have strong data retention policies (ref. UC115)
