I have a website written in VB.Net2.0 which works with an MS SQL database on the webserver. This is well establsihed and working well.
I already have adhoc arrangments in place to feed the website with data (eg Stock Items) from my accounting system (Sage Line50) and to feed the accounting system with data from the website. These ad hoc arrangements include a local CMS which is wriiten in VB.Net2.0 - I own the source code - and which works with a local MS SQL database. Also I have a close relationship with a local Sage Line50 developer (he is available to provide advice on this project) who has provided the DLL required to import and export data from the accounting system.
The aim of this project is to produce an Integrator application written in VB.Net2.0. This will be the first of many steps involved in the eventual replacement of our ad-hoc arrangements with a more solid foundation.
