I need hands-on help at our site to get a new network rack fully operational and to cover some light end-user support while we go live. Network side All the gear—routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points—is already on-site. Your job is to rack and stack each unit, connect power, patch copper and fiber exactly as shown on the diagrams (I’ll forward the latest versions before you arrive), and leave console cables in place so my remote engineers can jump in immediately. Once powered up, verify basic link status and let my team handle the advanced configuration. User side While the network equipment is booting, I’d like you to handle everyday issues for staff nearby: troubleshoot desktops and laptops that won’t boot or connect, sort out any printer jams or connectivity quirks, and keep users productive until the core network is stable. Deliverables • All routers, switches, firewalls, and WAPs mounted, cabled, and powered • Console access confirmed for every device • Quick status report (ports up/down, LED indicators, any anomalies) • Resolved tickets for desktop, laptop, and printer issues encountered during your visit This is strictly on-site work, so please note your location, availability, and any relevant certifications (CCNA, CompTIA, etc.) when you reply.

Hey! Fair rate for this scope — rack/stack + cabling + basic desktop support is standard on-site work. Quick flag: since this is strictly on-site, we'd need to confirm someone from our network is physically near your location — SolutionzHere works remote-first, so this one depends on where you're based. Quote: $50/hr, technician holds CCNA-level networking + CompTIA A+ support experience, comfortable with console access setup and basic link verification. Quick Q: what's the site location/city? That determines if we can staff this directly or need to partner locally.

Hi, I understand you need someone on-site to complete the physical setup of a new network rack and provide hands-on support during the go-live process. I have experience with network deployments where the main challenge was making sure every device was correctly installed, labeled, connected, and ready for remote engineers before configuration started. I’ve handled rack installation, cable patching, device checks, and troubleshooting for user issues such as desktop, laptop, and printer problems. For this project, I would follow your diagrams carefully, verify power and link status, keep console access available, and provide a clear status report after the installation. I can also support nearby users during the transition to minimize downtime. I prefer a practical, organized workflow and will communicate clearly with your remote team throughout the visit. I’d be happy to discuss your site location, schedule, and equipment details to make sure everything is ready before arrival. Thank you, Andrew

Hi there! Quick question: do you need help with any network documentation or labeling of ports and cables after everything's racked, or is that something your team handles separately? Regardless, this is definitely something that I feel confident delivering on, given my past experience. I would love to discuss your project further! Looking forward hearing from you. kind regards, Corné
