Async and Deploy Existing Single Page application

Here are the details of the project.
Existing React + Flask application
- Make call to a rest api in async/await style
- Make application to be startable on a Linux OS via bash script ( I can help, but I don't know how to do the "webpack" stuff)
- You will work with code from an existing Flask + React Single Page Application so you won't be working from scratch.
There is a backend API that intelligently indexes a pdf.
The backend API returns an index that is consumed by the frontend to provide an enhanced user experience reading the pdf.
The api call to create the index takes minutes to perform. Therefore we need async/await style api call.
