Responsibilities:
Database Administration: Perform all aspects of Oracle database administration, including installation, configuration, monitoring, tuning, backup and recovery, and troubleshooting.
Performance Tuning: Analyze database performance using various tools and techniques, identify bottlenecks, and implement necessary optimizations to improve system performance.
Security and Compliance: Implement and maintain database security measures, including user access control, data encryption, and database auditing. Ensure compliance with data protection regulations and industry best practices.
Backup and Recovery: Develop and maintain database backup and recovery strategies, perform regular backups, and test the recovery process to ensure data integrity and availability.
Database Monitoring and Maintenance: Monitor database systems to identify and resolve issues proactively. Apply patches and upgrades to ensure the stability and security of the database environment.
Capacity Planning: Assess future database capacity requirements based on projected growth and business needs. Make recommendations for hardware and software upgrades as necessary.
Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of database configurations, procedures, and operational guidelines.
Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, system administrators, and business stakeholders, to understand their requirements and provide efficient database solutions.
Communication: Effectively communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders, providing guidance, support, and training as needed. Collaborate with team members to share knowledge and best practices.
Continuous Learning: Stay up to date with the latest Oracle database technologies, tools, and trends. Continuously expand your skills and knowledge to enhance your performance and contribute to the team's success.
