we have a cre b2b shop that will sell a hosted solution software package. we need to automate the process.
we will outline the requirements,
first, we want to sell a limited number of hosted packages.
when a customer orders a package, the automated script must will check the database to see if we have reached our limit. If we have packages available, the script will begin the payment process through the payment modules of cre b2b.
The script will collect information on the customer, and after the customer completes the payment, the script will install the hosted package.
To install, the script will create a new hosting package through something like web host manager. The script will create a directory, update a DNS entry, and install some default files.
The script next will write some information to a handful of files, probably about 20 lines of code or so.
The script will make an entry into an existing database table, and also copy about 20-30 database tables to tables with a prefix linking those tables to the customer. Someone will need to create a SQL script that enters the proper information in to the database including some variables related to the customer.
To finish, the script will correct all permission issues to make the final installation secure, and send a welcome email to the customer with their log in information.
Many hosting companies do something like this, for example [url removed, login to view]
In addition to php and mysql knowledge, the designer will have to have some server skills. Most likely we will run this on a dedicated server, and the designer needs to understand the correct server configuration and permissions to make this happen securely.
