Paper on how to Architect a system to redirect mispelled URLs to another website

We operate a small ISP and we frequently have our users mis-spell URLs--e.g., [url removed, login to view], [url removed, login to view], etc.

As opposed to sending a DNS error, we want to redirect the traffic to a similar site and get revenue from the similar site as an affiliate partner.

This project would entail describing how to architect such a system and describing what actions would need to be done to set it up. For example, would we have to reprogram the DNS server? If so, how is that done. Would we need a proxy server? if so, would we need to buy or can we lease.

I basically need a written description (i.e., a "how to" manual) for how to do this.

The winning bidder will have a firm command on the English language and be capable of providing supporting information as to why they are experts in this area.
