I need bids and feasibility of converting my existing Wordpress plugin to a version that can be used on typepad.
the plugin CommentLuv can be seen in action on any single post page with comments on [url removed, login to view]
-= plugin description =-
the plugin inserts a checkbox after the comment form on a wordpress own hosted blog. When a user of the site makes a comment, they check the tick box to say that they want their last blog post shown.
when the comment is submitted, the plugin retrieves the comment data and before it saves it to the database it determines the authors site URL from the form and parses the site for a feed link in the head of the sites html page.
Once it determines the feed location by looking for the <link rel="alternate" type="application/rss+xml" found in the <head area of the page, it will then parse the most recent entry found on the feed and then append a titled link to that post onto the end of the comment before passing the data back to the wordpress system which then saves the comment to the database.
the plugin shouldn't parse the blog owners own comments that are made in response to users comments (as the last blog post will almost always be the same post that is being commented on). it does this simply by checking if the comment author is also the blog author.
essentially, it is a simple feed parser and outputs only the first item on the feed which is the last blog post made.
The typepad plugin will need to do the same thing and be integrated into typepad as simply as any other existing plugin.
the plugin will be the property of myself when it is finished and should not be released by anyone else until a time of my choosing.
(it will form part of a marketing and exposure campaign)
