All bidders should be familiar with paypal, perl, and mysql. Only bids of $100 or less will be considered.
I have a paypal script written in Perl that I've used for many years and had worked fine until recently. It checks a log file on paypal's site and determines if the user is a valid paid subscriber or not. Something changed on paypal side last month and now the script is not working. I need you to review the perl script and get it working again.
The script also keeps track of how many days the paypal subscriber has left in his account once he purchases a monthly recurring membership from me. The number of days is all wrong now, because the script is not able to read the user details anymore, so in order to put back the days to the proper number, you may need to write a small script that will put back the proper number of days to each users account. There are only a few dozen accounts so it should not be too big of a job.
I already have a log file in place for paypal transactions, that is logging the problems, please view attached file. I believe that routine is failing because it’s not getting the data from paypal. I see an HTTP error. It looks like something changed on paypals side, and the location access to the paypal data has changed on paypals side.
I think you'll need to check the paypal developer site and get the new location of the data this script needs to work properly.
