Celebrity Chef Matthew is a fictional chef, a satirical take on celebrity and pop culture. The character is delusional, jealous, competitive, funny, smart, and more focused on getting famous than cooking food. The goal is for him to be the chef version of Stephen Colbert - so obviously wrong that he's likable and endearing. He loves to "diss" other celeb chefs, talk about his constant jet-setting around the world, and generally talk about himself as the BEST EVER.
What I'm looking for is a series of food pictures that are... um, messed up and would make people laugh. For example, Chef Matthew thinks he's the best ever, but he makes dishes named "My Stunning Steak w/a Quail Egg on Top with a side of Bitter, Sour, and Rotting Chips" and "Midnight Snack of Leftover Pizza, Graham Cracker, and Banana Mush Marsala."
This project would be PERFECT for someone who is already shooting traditional food scenes, but then once you're done, can do something funny or different to it (like put a dog bone in or ice cream spinkles on top of whatever you were shooting). But the pictures would still need the "feel" of traditional food photography, just that the food would hopefully be laugh-inducing. Funny food photography - is that a real catagory? These would be used, at least initially, just to give a clever title to then used on Chef Matthew's Twitter feed.
Let's say for the sake of this project that I'm looking for 10 pictures over the course of a month, but the timeframe can be flexible if it has to be. Don't be afraid to ask questions if I haven't given enough direction or description!
