I have a custom Wordpress blog geared towards woman. The topic is modern manners. I post only about two times a month. I need someone who will perform simple general maintenance on the site when I post and complete a few tasks to complete the blog. The perfect candidate will be proficient in Wordpress and graphic design.
Here's a list of the tasks needing completion:
~Going into Aweber (the service I use to send out the posts) and making sure it's set to send them.
~Changing the Flash video of recent articles to include the photo and link from the most recent blog post and removing the one from the oldest of the four posts included in the flash intro at the top of the blog home page.
~Adding new text (that I'll provide) to the blank links at the top of the blog: press kit, speaking topics, and so on
~Currently I have 12 topics listed on the blog, a consultant suggested I reduce this number to six by combing topics
~In the empty space left by combing the 12 topics into six, we will continually post the most current blog post
~Any other maintenance, changes, or additions that need to be made to the blog over time
~Posting short videos (30 seconds to three-minutes) to a video page of the blog
This position will be ongoing. I'd like to pay someone an hourly rate. It will be an easy job for the right person and a nice (and hopefully fun!) way to earn a little extra money from time-to-time.
You can view the blog at [url removed, login to view] in order to understand the flash at the top and the 12 categories. The candidate will need to have an eye for design and a knowledge of Photo Shop because that's what is used to create the flash at the top of the page.
I prefer to work with someone via telephone at first to describe the changes wanted while we are both looking at the same screen. It's confusing to me to explain via email since I don't have the proper technical vocabulary. I find it leads to unnecessary misunderstandings. I'm in the United States in the EDT time zone.
