What we need is some backend software that will load our daily inventory files to a SQL Server database. We will use those daily inventory files on our website to reflect daily inventory. Our inventory files contain about 160,000 items. Specifics about the file format will be given (basically '|' delimited).
We also have weekly catalog files that will need some sort of program or script to load into a SQL Server database so that the new catalogs can be reflected on the website.
This would have to be integrated with AspDotNetStorefront shopping cart that uses YourPay secure gateway. Our hosting server will be [login to view URL] and we want the website to look like our current website at [[login to view URL]][1].
Basically, we are redoing our website and I personally do not have the time to do it. I have a MS in Computer Science and could do it myself but I don't have the time.
We are moving from Yahoo Merchant Solutions to a [login to view URL] server that hosts ASP.NET and SQL Server 2000, but we do not have the time to install everything and customize it. That is where you come in.
## Deliverables
Rent A Coder requirements notice: As originally posted, this bid request does not have complete details. Should a dispute arise and this project go into arbitration "as is", the contract's vagueness might cause it to be interpreted against you, even though you were acting in good-faith. So for your protection, if you are interested in this project, please work-out and document the requirements onsite.
1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done.
2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, with no bugs nor glitches.
3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement).
Extra, more detailed info:
Sorry I can't write up all of the details now, but I will try to explain as best as I can.
The inventory and catalog loading code should be automatic or as easy as visiting a website to tell it to go to a certain ftp site (I have C# code to do this already), download the inventory file, parse it ('|' delimited), and update the database with the new inventory. Whatever is not included in the inventory file should be set to zero, then the inventory levels would change depending on what the inventory file has. The inventory file only lists inventory of one or more in stock.
The catalog file is something done every week and it should also update the database by basically purging whatever is there from previous catalog uploads and updating it with the new data.

Just so everyone is aware, we would like something like what we already have at [login to view URL]
We are moving to the ASP.NET platform because our current site is ran through Yahoo Merchant Solutions and it cannot handle a large number of products. That is the reason for having scripts to upload the data files to the database.
I hope this makes everything clearer for what we want.
Thanks,
Kory

Please go and reread the bid request. We have change many of the requirements and defined more specifically what we now want to do.
The shopping cart software demo is available at [login to view URL] and [login to view URL] has information about the secure gateway (which works with the above shopping cart). We are planning on purchasing the PRO version for $399.
We now need this site to be hosted with [login to view URL]'s ASP.NET and SQL Server 2000. We will not setup this account until after everything is ready to go, so you should have your own IIS setup on your computers to do testing and demonstration.
We now want the new site to look similar to what we currently have at [login to view URL]
Also, all of your bids will have to be readjusted since the hard work is now going to be taken care of with the aspdotnetstorefront shopping cart and the secure payment gat eway is already setup in that shopping cart and with our merchant account.
I think this should open this project up to many more developers (since it will be pretty easy to do this.)
Thanks,
Kory and Sandra
## Platform
Needs to run on an ASP.NET enabled web server. Source code should be done in C#. I may consider other requests but prefer C#.
