I work for a domain-ing company called Elephant Orchestra. What we want to have developed is a simple tool that allows a user to search various European ccTLDs, ie. .[url removed, login to view] , .fr , .de , etc. You can find a complete list here : [url removed, login to view]
The user would type in a domain name and then select the different ccTLDs he would like to check. Upon clicking submit the tool would open all the domains in FireFox as well as corresponding WHOIS infomation pages (in seperate windows) for each domain (preferably using [url removed, login to view])
An additional feature would be extracting the name and email address of the owner of the domain. I'm not sure what language you could write a tool like this, so I am open to suggestions.
If you have any further questions please ask.
Thank you all for you interest in this project. Here is a further explanation of what and why we need this tool:
Typically when one of our clients is interested in a direct navigation vertical such as video games then one of our employees has to check every potential domain by hand i.e. manually type in ps3games.co.uk, ps3games.fr, and other possible domains (hundreds of them). If the domains are parked or are not in use then the employee checks the WHOIS data of the domain in order to try to get a contact email address and name.
Ideally it would be a tool where you select the domain name(s) and TLDs you want to check. Then after clicking submit the tool would either open all the domains in seperate windows with additional windows for the corresponding WHOIS data. I'm sure there is a better way of doing this so if anyone has ideas or knowledge of how to do this, we would be willing to offer a premium price for your services.
If the tool could automatically export the domain names to an excel file for example, this would be a huge plus.
We're willing to up the price if anyone is able to provide additional functionality and convenience to the project.
Here is a basic results page that I imagine for the tool.
