Cash Register Software

You will be building a point of sale system that will be touchscreen compliant, have a complete installer, control a variety of hardware devices such as a receipt printer, cash drawer, signature capture device, customer pole display, dual monitor support. You will use a MySQL database, and build a custom web script to transfer the database information through the web. The program should be in .NET framework or something similar, should work seamlessly with windows 2000, XP, Vista, should operate very quickly, should have a local offline database. PLEASE READ ATTACHED FILE BEFORE BIDDING. IF YOU ARE GOING TO BID, REFER TO DETAILS IN THE ATTACHED DOCUMENT SO I KNOW YOU READ IT AND UNDERSTAND THE SCOPE OF THIS PROJECT. IF YOU CAN POST ANY SAMPLE APPLICATIONS THAT SHOW YOUR SKILLS IN RELATED AREAS, PLEASE POST THEM. Please note: You will also be adding remote receipt printers to print kitchen orders or display them on a screen so they can be "bumped" off as they are prepared. Kitchen printers will either be a local printer of the POS system, or a network connected printer of another terminal. With this you will also be writing a small windows application that will accept IP connections from the POS clients the print and open cash drawer connected to the receipt printer. This will act as a network printer app and will be used as a method to connect receipt printers to the point of sale software. You will also build reports in PHP and MySQL to report on sales during date ranges such as item aging, item sales popularity, sales history, by customer, employee, item, time period, etc. ## Deliverables You will also be building a web browser built into the program that can be opened to specified hidden URLs by pressing designated buttons. You must be able to pass session variables (transaction number, customer id, employee id, etc) through the URL to the web page. You must also be able to parse the HTML code of the web page for specialized tags that will do functions like these: Open Cash Drawer 1, Open Cash Drawer 2, Print on Receipt Printer number, request signature capture, send message to pole display, etc. The commands will look like this: OR OR 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. 2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables): a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment. b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request. 3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement). ## Platform Windows 98/2000/XP/Vista - Terminal Services Please note that there are things not displayed here such as selling package items, rental items, exchange items, etc because we will work on that together once the project begins.
