Create a program that will print a font collection on the printer.
I have a DVD of 20,000 fonts. Windows(and macosx) will crash or have many bizzare problems with more than 3000 or so fonts in the fonts folder. There are many programs available that will print out the currently installed fonts but I want one that will print fonts from a selected folder that is not the fonts folder.
The print out page should show the text printed in the current font, the font file name, the font name like this
ABCDEFGHIJKLMNOPQRSTUVWXYZabcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyz1234567890 (Arial - [url removed, login to view])
The goal is to point the program at a dvd of fonts and print out a reference book so I know what each font looks like and what the file name is so I can find it and install it myself manually later.
IMPORTANT: Program must not delete or overwrite existing fonts. If a font already exists in the windows fonts folder, just skip it and do not try to print it, do not copy it, do not delete it. Move on to the next font on the dvd.
The attached zip has some more specifications and information.
Please let me know what language you would use too. Thanks
