We're looking to put together a comparison shopping project similar to eBay's Shopping.com. That business model combines the features of an eBay core business with the payment methodology of Linkshare ([url removed, login to view]) or Commission Junction ([url removed, login to view]) and the way they both run their affiliate program. We're looking to build this project in Linux which will be linked to a MySQL Db. The project is looking for the following: *A commission-based merchant-managed wallet where any registered merchant can set a specific amount of money pero week (type AdSense) to be distributed to cover clickthroughs and actual final sales made by traffic generated by affiliated sites. *A dynamic backend where same merchants can post their products images, feature and price. *Backend must be capable of lining up products by category, merchant and final price. In a comparison fashion, Top down, from the lowest price to the highest posted before linking to the merchant's shopping cart for completion of sale. Merchants can also create Sale or Clearance on products for an extra fee. *Backend has to be able to remove those merchants whose accounts have ran out of funds. *Site's backend must has an account program capable of tracking commissions to be given out to third party affiliated to the site via customization of our web site. Commission money we obtain from merchants would be splitted with any third party affiliated of ours. *A Db-supported messaging system should be created between the site and merchants to set low funds alarm, hot products reviewed daily as well as their own general daily tracking results of people coming to our comparison shopping site and what kind of products they have been browsing for. *A discussion board where actual end users can rate their internet experience with the merchants *On the web design end, site must be flexible enough to allow customization to third parties based on the same basic look'n feel. We're very flexible. We also are very familiar with the business model, so, whether you have a need for additional question please feel free to ask us for. Cordially.
